Main Purpose of Role
This role will be responsible for leading and growing client relationships across strategic accounts, focusing on the French / Benelux market. The Client Development Director (French-speaking) will identify new opportunities, ensure delivery excellence, and drive revenue growth through deep understanding of client needs and Bolt Insight’s research and technology solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery while mentoring junior team members and supporting business development initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships, as a primary point of contact, grow relationships with new and potential clients to increase our logos/brands.
Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and growth.
Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to build trusted partnerships.
Strategic Planning
Work closely with clients to understand their long-term goals and objectives and translate these into strategic initiatives, whilst identifying opportunities for upselling, cross, selling and expansion of services to drive revenue growth.
Translate client briefs into actionable research plans and insights.
Track performance against revenue and growth targets.
Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and commercial strategy.
Team Leadership
Lead and inspire the ‘Business development squad’ and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of client solutions.
Mentor and support junior team members.
Customer Satisfaction
Monitor customer satisfaction and gather feedback through regular meetings and surveys, address concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate closely with research and operations teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Contract Management
Oversee contact negotiations and renewals, ensuring that terms are favourable for both client and the company.
Market Insights
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activates and market developments, share insights and recommendations with clients to position the company as a through leaders and strategic partner.
Provide market feedback to product and strategy teams to support Bolt Insight’s growth.
Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required to support the Company’s business objectives.
Required experience:
8+ years of experience in client development, business development, or commercial roles within the market research, insights, or analytics industry
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding enterprise and mid-market client accounts
Deep experience managing senior client stakeholders, including brand, marketing, and insights leaders
Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, agile research, and insights commercialization
Demonstrated success in consultative selling and translating client business challenges into research solutions
Experience leading and mentoring client development or account teams in a fast-growth, technology-enabled environment
Ability to collaborate closely with research, product, and operations teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes
Proficiency with CRM tools, forecasting, and data-driven performance management
