About the role

Our customers choose the platform because they can trust it: sovereign and air-gapped deployment, complete audit trails, compliance-as-code, and governance built into the product rather than bolted on. For them, security is not a checkbox in procurement, it is the reason we win. As CISO, reporting to the CTO, you are the single accountable owner of our security posture, internal and product alike. You inherit a serious foundation, an established ISMS, a published policy estate and certifications in flight, and you have the mandate and board visibility to build the security function of a category-defining company.

This is a Senior role on our Trust & Compliance team, London · Hybrid.

What you'll do

• Own the security and compliance estate end-to-end: the ISMS, policy register, risk management and control environment across corporate systems and the platform.
• Lead our certification and attestation programmes, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, ISO 9001 and SOC 2 Type II, from control implementation and evidence through external audit and continual improvement.
• Own product security: partner with engineering on secure-by-design architecture, threat modelling, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, and hardening of cloud, on-premise and air-gapped deployments.
• Run the independent assurance programme, scoping and acting on penetration testing including NCSC CHECK-accredited engagements.
• Be the customer-facing security authority for enterprise, public sector and defence buyers, turning security from a procurement hurdle into a reason to choose us.
• Build and run security operations: monitoring and SIEM, incident response, supplier and third-party risk, and a security-aware culture.
• Own AI governance and regulatory readiness, the EU AI Act, UK and EU data protection, and the emerging standards landscape for agentic AI.

What we're looking for

• Proven leadership of information security and compliance for a SaaS or enterprise software company, as CISO, Head of Information Security, or the leader who built the function from an early stage.
• Hands-on certification experience: you have taken an organisation through ISO 27001 certification and/or SOC 2 Type II attestation, not just maintained one.
• Strong technical security foundations, cloud and infrastructure security, secure SDLC, IAM and vulnerability management, with the credibility to engage engineers on their own terms.
• Comfort in regulated and high-assurance environments, public sector or defence security requirements, and eligibility for UK SC clearance.
• A pragmatic, commercially minded operator who makes risk decisions rather than just documenting them.
• Nice to have: ISO 42001 and EU AI Act depth, sovereign and air-gapped supply-chain security, CISSP/CISM/CCSP or equivalent, and enterprise due-diligence experience.
