Role
Who you are
- Customer discovery - You're genuinely curious about what makes enterprise buyers tick. You can conduct great interviews, extract real insights, and understand technical decision-makers without being overly technical yourself.
- Translating complexity - You take sophisticated concepts (synthetic audiences, AI simulation) and make them compelling to different buyers without dumbing it down. You write clearly and know how to position technical products.
- Rapid execution - You write landing pages, sales decks, and email sequences yourself. You're comfortable shipping fast, measuring results, and iterating based on data.
- Internal influence - You are the voice of the customer internally. You push back constructively when needed and build trust across product, sales, CX.
- You are a bit of an all-rounder. You can design strategy but you also execute. You are comfortable using the latest AI tools to design and ship assets and content.
- You know how to do messaging, positioning and produce content that communicates clearly and converts. One day, you may design our messaging hierarchy, another day you are shipping a lead magnet or blog article about a new feature.
Desirable
- Stage-relevant experience: You've worked in a high-agency role where you owned outcomes, not just tasks. You're comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast. Startup experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
- You have great taste and empathy for our ICP. While B2B experience is not needed, you have an understanding of how people buy (complex) products - multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, risk committees. Bonus if you've marketed technical or AI products before.
- Systems thinker: You do once, then build to scale. You help us build a systematic way to build out the function. Customer conversations get turned into content, webinars inform messaging - you will help build a product marketing flywheel for Electric Twin.
What the job involves
- You'll be our first product marketing hire, working directly with our founders, sales and marketing leads to turn customer conversations into messaging that actually works. This means talking to enterprise buyers weekly, testing positioning across channels, and writing the copy yourself. No frameworks for frameworks' sake - just rapid learning and execution.
- You'll own product marketing from the ground up. This means spending half your time talking to customers and prospects, and the other half turning those insights into messaging, artefacts and lead magnets that land - then testing them in market immediately.
- Customer Discovery & Insight Extraction: You conduct customer/prospect conversations weekly. You are excited to extract insights about what drives purchase decisions.
- You will learn how different personas (CMOs, product leaders, strategists) actually evaluate and buy complex AI products and use that to inform our Product Marketing.
- You serve as the internal voice of the customer - push back when our messaging doesn't match customer reality.
- You are a great copywriter. You translate our software into language that resonates with our different buyers. We run a content-based GTM motion and you will strongly support it.
- Messaging & Positioning : You will refine the messaging and positioning with our CMO. Part of that is strategy but you will also execute it via landing pages, email sequences, sales enablement, case studies, lead magnets etc.
- You will work with sales to understand what's working in conversations, iterate fast based on feedback.
- Rapid Market Testing: We are still learning. You will start to run messaging experiments across our channels, so we get better every time.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You partner with product on roadmap priorities based on customer feedback.
- AI Native / Tooling: You are comfortable using AI to accelerate execution and customer understanding. You can vibe code decent assets - and for the harder stuff, you'll work with our designer to make it look stunning.
- There is a lot to this role. We don't expect you to know it all, just to be a keen learner. Here are some of the tools we are using internally Framer, Hubspot, LLMs (Claude etc), Miro, Figma, Lovable etc.
Application process
- Send your CV and a brief note (not a formal cover letter) answering:
- 1. Tell us about a time you changed messaging based on customer feedback. What did you learn and how did it impact results?
- 2. Share an example of something you wrote and shipped yourself (landing page, email sequence, sales one-pager, etc.). What was the goal and what happened?
- 3. What excites you about this role specifically?
