Role Overview

We are looking for a commercial operator with serious investing, franchising and/or complex B2B sales experience to build and scale Isembard’s franchise GTM engine.
You will own the full franchise growth funnel — from channel design and demand generation through qualification, diligence, structuring and close. The role is explicitly about testing new acquisition channels, driving velocity across the funnel, and scaling franchisee supply across the UK, US and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Build and scale the funnel
Own end-to-end franchisee acquisition across UK → US → Europe
Define and continuously refine ICPs across:
conversion franchisees (existing machine shops)
greenfield owner-operators
capital partners / investor operators
Build a high-velocity, multi-channel acquisition engine (outbound, partnerships, events, brokers, referrals, content, targeted campaigns)
Test and scale new channels
Rapidly test and iterate new sourcing channels and geographies
Build repeatable playbooks for each market (UK first, then US, then Europe)
Track funnel metrics obsessively (CPL, conversion rates, cycle time, CAC, close rate)
Drive the full commercial process
Lead discovery, qualification and diligence with prospective franchisees
Structure and close complex, high-stakes deals where candidates are making major capital and life decisions
Partner with legal, finance and ops to standardise scalable closing processes
Shape GTM strategy as we scale
Feed market intelligence into pricing, positioning and product development
Help define market sequencing across regions
Build and lead the franchise GTM team over time

Required Experience

Strong track record in franchise development, multi-unit expansion, or complex B2B sales
Demonstrated experience building and scaling a funnel across multiple channels
Experience closing high-value, high-trust deals with owner-operators or executives
Comfortable operating at speed in ambiguous, early-stage environments
Strong commercial judgment and negotiation capability

Preferred

Experience expanding across international markets (UK/US/Europe ideal)
Experience selling capital-intensive or operationally complex opportunities
Experience building GTM motions from zero in a startup or scale-up
