About Searchable
Searchable is an analytics and agentic platform for AI Search. As ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews reshape how people discover information, brands need new ways to measure and optimise their visibility across both traditional and generative search.
We help companies grow their organic presence across SEO, AEO, and GEO through a fully agentic platform that identifies opportunities, recommends actions, and automates fixes.
We’re backed by top angels and VCs, and building the team that will define the category.
We’re office-based five days a week near London Bridge. For a small team building fast, in-person iteration is a real advantage — and if that’s how you like to work, you’ll feel it.
The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to shape how customers understand and act on a new class of AI-search data. You’ll be our senior design voice, working with founders, product, engineering and customers to turn complex systems into products that feel clear, useful and inevitable.
This role starts with UX. You’ll get close to customers, model their workflows, find the real problem beneath the request and make strong calls about what we should build. You’ll also carry that thinking all the way to a polished interface. We care equally about whether a product makes sense and whether every interaction earns its place.
This is a hands-on staff role, not a layer of design management. You’ll lead through the quality of your thinking and execution, raise the standard across the product and help define the design practice as the team grows.
What you’ll do
Own product design end to end, from an ambiguous problem and customer insight to a shipped experience
Build a deep understanding of SEO, AEO and GEO workflows, then turn that complexity into simple mental models and clear product decisions
Work directly with customers and go-to-market teams to identify unmet needs, test assumptions and separate signal from feature requests
Partner closely with product and engineering from the first sketch through implementation, shaping scope, resolving trade-offs and staying accountable after launch
Design information-rich workflows, dashboards and agentic interactions that help customers move confidently from insight to action
Produce high-quality interaction and visual design, with strong hierarchy, states, responsive behaviour and attention to the details that make a product feel trustworthy
Prototype quickly at the right level of fidelity, using the work to answer questions rather than decorate decisions
Evolve a pragmatic design system that speeds up delivery without flattening the product into generic components
Use data, customer evidence and product judgement to improve shipped work — not treat launch as the finish line
Raise the design bar across the company through clear critique, strong rationale and close collaboration
How we think about design
This is product design, not a hand-off function. The best answer may be a new workflow, a smaller feature, clearer language or deciding not to build something at all. You’ll be expected to understand the system, challenge the brief and make the product simpler.
We value strong opinions, loosely held. You should be able to explain why an experience works, argue your corner and change your mind when customer evidence or real usage points elsewhere.
Craft matters here. The interface is where our customers decide whether to trust the product and act on what it tells them.
About You
You have significant experience designing complex B2B software and a portfolio that shows both the thinking behind the work and the quality of the shipped result
Your strongest skill is UX: you can frame ambiguous problems, understand real user behaviour, map complex systems and turn evidence into a coherent product direction
You are also a strong UI designer with excellent command of hierarchy, typography, interaction states, data visualisation and the details that make dense products feel calm and intuitive
You have led major product areas or zero-to-one initiatives as a senior individual contributor
You influence company-level decisions without relying on formal authority
You are comfortable talking directly with customers and adapting your research method to the speed and certainty a decision requires
You think in systems but resist unnecessary complexity
You collaborate deeply with engineers and understand technical constraints well enough to find better answers together
You are comfortable with ambiguity and turn vague problems into shipped products
You care about outcomes more than ownership boundaries
You want to define a category, not just refine an established pattern
Nice to have
Experience designing analytics, data-heavy, AI-native, agentic, marketing or developer products
Familiarity with SEO, search marketing, martech or agency workflows
Experience building or evolving a design system in a fast-moving product team
Experience using AI to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, content design or production workflows
Early-stage startup experience where you helped establish the design practice as well as ship the product
What success looks like
In your first 30 days, you understand the product, customers and core workflows, and are contributing to live product decisions
In your first 90 days, you own a meaningful product area from problem framing through delivery
In your first year, customers find Searchable materially easier to understand and act on, the quality bar is visible across the product, and design is shaping strategy earlier and with better evidence
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: £110,000–£150,000, depending on experience
Meaningful early-stage equity
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Leading parental and childcare policies
Daily Uber Eats or Deliveroo meal allowance
Late-night Uber home when work runs late
Monthly fitness and wellbeing reimbursement
Flexibility to manage your own schedule — we care about the quality of the work
