About Tequipy

IT chaos is a systems problem. We're fixing it with AI. Tequipy builds an AI-first IT operations platform that manages the full lifecycle of company equipment and software — from onboarding to offboarding, from compliance to cost optimization — without spreadsheets, tickets, or manual babysitting.

We're a small, senior team founded by Revolut alumni, building an AI IT agent that reasons, acts, and automates across identity, devices, SaaS, and security. Our ambition is unapologetically big: to redefine how modern companies run IT and build a $100M+ company along the way.

If you enjoy:

  • Building the UI layer of autonomous systems, not just dashboards
  • Turning complex, real-world workflows into fast, reliable interfaces
  • Shipping end-to-end with real ownership and leverage

You'll feel at home here.

Join us early. Help define the product, the architecture, and the future of AI-driven IT.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced back-end engineer to own the web application layer at Tequipy. This is a high-impact role with real ownership: you'll shape how our product is built, how it performs, and how it evolves as we scale. You'll work directly with other teams to ship a product that handles real enterprise complexity — with the speed and clarity that only a small, senior team can maintain.

AI tooling is a core part of how we work. We expect you to have it embedded in your workflow — not as a curiosity, but as a force multiplier.

What you'll do

Backend platform engineering

  • Build and maintain new features and components for our backend platform
  • Own and drive evolution of the backend platform, leading architectural and technical changes across core systems
  • Collaborate closely with product designers and fellow backend engineers to turn real-world IT workflows into scalable, well-designed systems
  • Build and evolve a globally distributed system for asset management, device delivery, HRIS integrations, and an autonomous IT admin agent
  • Design and implement backend architecture, with a focus on reliability, extensibility, and long-term scalability
  • Deliver new backend capabilities end-to-end, from concept and design through implementation and production rollouts

AI-assisted development

  • Leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent) as a core part of your engineering workflow
  • Evaluate and introduce new AI tooling that speeds up front-end delivery without sacrificing quality
  • Help establish team norms around AI-assisted development — what to automate, what to review, what to own

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years experience on a similar position
  • Preferably experience in small companies
  • Extensive experience with one of languages - Java, Kotlin or Python
  • Strong practical experience with Claude Code or any alternative—we generate a lot of code!
  • Strong testing culture — engineers are responsible for testing the code they write

What we offer

  • Compensation: 18,000 – 25,000 PLN net + VAT per month on a B2B contract
  • 100% remote — work from wherever suits you
  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid time off (negotiated as part of the B2B agreement)
  • Real impact on the product from day one — no ticket queues, no committee approvals
  • Learning & development budget — courses, conferences, tools
  • Modern stack and a culture without micromanagement
  • A small, senior team with founders who've built and scaled before

Hiring process

1. CV and portfolio / GitHub review
2. Home Assignment
: A practical task based on a real production problem to assess your problem-solving skills. The submission must be done in Kotlin/Java.
3. Culture Fit Call
: A 20-minute conversation to align on the future goals.
4. Technical Interview
: A 1-hour session to discuss the home assignment and explore general technical topics.

How to apply

Send your CV and links (GitHub, portfolio, or notable projects) to: talent@tequipy.com

In your application, highlight projects where you owned the front-end end-to-end — from architecture decisions to shipped UI. A short note on how you use AI tools in your daily workflow goes a long way.
