You'll build the TypeScript/NestJS services powering our mobile app and ship full-stack features (backend through frontend) on our web products.What you'll bring:- Product Engineer first, engineer second; focused on user value and business impact- Backend-heavy and full-stack capable (TypeScript/NestJS); ship web UI with React/Next.js or similar- Design APIs/services for mobile clients; partner closely with mobile engineers- Own features end-to-end from API design and data modelling to frontend, deployment, and iteration- Proactive collaborator across mobile, design, and product; thrive in fast-paced environments- Strong backend depth in TypeScript/NestJS (or comparable Node.js); solid web frontend skills- Working knowledge of cloud infra (ideally GCP: Cloud Run, Functions, Firestore), CI/CD, event-driven patterns (BullMQ/Redis)- Awareness of mobile constraints; pragmatic approach to architecture/scale/tech debtPreferred but not required experience in:- Current user of WheringWhat you'll be doing:- Push back on the why, not just the how; validate with prototypes; iterate based on user feedback- Make pragmatic build decisions; define "done" as live, adopted, and impactful- Actively monitor analytics post-launch- Partner on product strategy with PMs/designers; contribute insights from user data and technical constraintsStart Date: ASAPLocation: United KingdomReport To: Head of EngineeringSalary: £70,000 - £80,000
