Yonda is a technology-driven indirect tax partner that helps global businesses stay compliant with confidence. We combine expert service with smart tools to simplify registrations, filings, and VAT account management across multiple jurisdictions. We recently raised a $15m Series A, and are now focused on scaling our growth engine and expanding our market reach.

We are looking for someone to own SEO and AI-driven discovery end-to-end and build it into a scalable, commercially accountable growth engine.

This is a hands-on builder role. You'll have agency and freelancer support, and you'll work alongside the founders and an external SEO consultant who brings deep industry context. We need someone who can execute the work themselves, not just direct others. Within 12 months, SEO should be a predictable driver of qualified pipeline and revenue, Yonda should be consistently visible in both traditional search and AI discovery for high-intent queries, and organic traffic should convert efficiently into meetings and sales conversations.

What you'll own

  • Scalable SEO strategy - Own the roadmap across technical SEO, content, and authority building. You're measured on pipeline, MQLs, SQLs, and revenue contribution, not clicks and impressions.
  • Technical SEO & Webflow - You'll work in Webflow day-to-day. Own site architecture, crawlability, structured data, indexation, and Core Web Vitals. Dev support available for heavier lifts.
  • AI search visibility (GEO/AEO) - Define how Yonda shows up in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Pragmatic and experiment-led, not theoretical.
  • Content strategy - Build topical authority across VAT, GST, and sales tax. Prioritise by commercial value, not search volume. Programmatic approaches like jurisdiction landing pages at scale are on the table.
  • Conversion & attribution - Own organic performance beyond the ranking. You're accountable for proving what SEO is contributing to pipeline through to revenue.
  • SERP landscape - Yonda's target keywords are dominated by comparison sites, aggregators, and community platforms. You'll own the strategy for getting Yonda visible across these channels.
  • Authority building & digital PR - Manage agency/freelancer budget for backlinks and placements across trusted industry sources and communities that influence both users and AI systems.
  • International SEO - Multi-jurisdiction strategy accounting for regulatory and search differences.

Must-haves

  • You've driven pipeline or revenue through SEO and can walk us through the numbers (leads, conversion rates, ACV, commercial impact)
  • Hands-on technical SEO experience: site architecture, crawl management, structured data, indexation
  • Experience building and scaling content strategies that generate qualified leads, not just traffic
  • Practical understanding of AI-driven search and how to track/improve visibility within it
  • Experience managing agencies or freelancers with clear ROI expectations and budget accountability
  • Working proficiency with Webflow, GA4, Looker Studio, HubSpot, and AI visibility tracking tools such as Profound or Chosenly

Background we're looking for

  • B2B SaaS experience is essential, ideally in compliance, legal, or technical product spaces
  • Strong analytical rigour and data literacy. You think in conversion rates and ACV, not just keyword volume
  • Comfortable with high ownership and working directly with founders

Good-to-haves

  • Experience in tax, compliance, or regulated industries
  • International/multi-market SEO exposure
  • Programmatic SEO experience
  • Understanding of how AI crawlers differ from traditional bots and practical steps to optimise for both
  • Familiarity with SERP landscape analysis, knowing when to prioritise Reddit, G2, Capterra, YouTube etc. based on what's actually ranking
