About LabCycle

At LabCycle, we’re on a mission to turn lab plastic waste from a climate problem into a circular- economy solution. We’re a fast-moving cleantech startup, tackling one of the biggest sustainability

challenges in science and healthcare.

Our proprietary technology decontaminates single-use plastic waste from research and healthcare

labs so it can be safely cleaned, recycled and transformed back into high-grade plastic feedstock for

new lab consumables — reducing waste, emissions and energy use compared to traditional disposal

and sterilisation methods.

Position Overview

We are looking for a practical-minded Technical Assistant to join our small, dedicated team. In this

role, you will provide essential hands-on support to our CTO and Senior Engineer in assembling,

testing, and operating our decontamination system and extrusion line. This is an excellent opportunity

to gain valuable experience in a technology startup and contribute directly to our core engineering and

operation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Assist with the mechanical assembly, integration, and wiring of machineries.

2.Support system testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and validation procedures.

3.Help with the operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of machineries.

4.Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace.

5.Accurately log build progress, test data, and operational checks.

6.Provide general technical support to the engineering team as required.

Key Skills and Traits

1.A background in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., degree, apprenticeship, or relevant hands-on

experience).

2.Practical skills in mechanical assembly and familiarity with basic workshop equipment (e.g.,

hand/power tools).
